In 2008, a group of lending executives in Tampa, FL came together and saw a need: credit challenged customers had virtually no place to go for financing. Armed with decades of industry experience and a passion for helping customers in need—Uown Leasing was born.
In 2020, Uown was acquired by 777 Partners—an $8+ billion Private Investment Fund—that will provide Uown more opportunity for growth in the years to come.
At Uown, we understand that the credit score does not define the customer.

A lease-to-own program is a payment arrangement where consumers commit to a short-term lease of durable goods at the outset and may choose between several available paths to gain ownership.
Our qualifications are simple, you must:
- Be 18 years or older
- Have a Taxpayer ID Number
- Present a valid, non-expired state-issued drivers license
- Have a gross income of $1,000 a month
- Possess an open and active checking account (90+ days since opening the account) in good standing with no insufficient funds or overdraft charges within the last 30 days.
Uown Leasing does not use traditional credit checks as part of our approval process. We verify information through national databased including, but not limited, to TransUnion, Clarity, DataX, and LexisNexis.
This is no down payment, initial payment, or first lease payment required at time of lease signing. There may be a processing fee of up to $40* charged at lease signing or on the first lease payment based on the merchant from which you purchased items.

We accept traditional employment as well as retirement or public assistance programs like SSI, or self-employment. We do not accept child support or alimony as qualifying income.
The initial term of your lease may be one week, two weeks, 15 days or monthly. You have the option to renew. Please see your lease for more details. If you wish to obtain ownership of the merchandise you are leasing, a typical lease agreement will have a 13 month period to ownership. However, you always have an early buyout option or a return option.
At the time of application and lease signing, you can choose between either weekly & bi-weekly payment options.
